Jimmy Spire Ssentongo is a Ugandan academic, columnist, author, human rights defender and editorial cartoonist.
He teaches Ethics and Identity Studies at Uganda Martyrs University. He also teaches Ethics and Research methods at Makerere University.
He is the author of What Died When We Lived (2025). His other books include Living with Others (2024); What I Saw When I Died (2021); Quarantined (2021); Inquiry into a Withering Heritage (2010); and Unconformable Laughter (2020).
